Joint Family System

The most lovable aspect of my family life is the joint family system. It is a custom and tradition in our society. In this system all the family members including cousins, brothers and relatives live in at the same house.

This was most commonly practiced in the past but it also prevails in new generation families. I personally like this tradition since it provides a lively atmosphere at home. Having cousins and relatives at the same place where you are is a nice experience.

Once during my higher secondary schooling, my father was having a financial crisis and I had no money to pay my school fees. It was with the help of my relatives I was able to pay the fees. Then only I realized the value of my blood relations.

Festivals are the most memorable events that bring all of us together. All the elders will take leave from their busy schedule and join the celebrations along with the children. The main festival that we celebrate at home is the feast of our patron Saint Joseph. We all come together and join for lunch at the same table which we usually do but the specialty of the day is that the course of the lunch would be very rich and delicious. These celebrations not only keep us joyful but also increase the integrity of our family.
