Funny Signs are Everywhere

Funny Road Signs
Have you ever been driving down the road and burst out laughing at funny signs? Or been waiting for an appointment when a funny office sign made you smile? We all need a laugh and funny signs can often do the trick.

Sometimes they are intentionally funny and others are funny by mistake. Some road signs are funny because of the name of the street such as "De Long Way" or coming to the intersection of "Ho Road" and "Hum Road". I would love to live on the corner of Ho Hum though it sounds a little boring.

Living in the Fast Lane
Of course, if you are traveling down highway 212 in Oregon you will actually see a turn off for Boring, Oregon City 1 mile though from what I hear there is not much to do there. Maybe you would prefer to live on Fast Lane in Purgatory USA?

All you need for a bright future
I personally love fishing on Uptha Creek though I never go without a paddle. I always get my bait from Hussey's General store where their sign advertises "Guns, Wedding Gowns and cold beer" everything you need for a bright future. I was grateful for the sign warning me "Road unsafe when under water" I never would have guessed that!

Is this your day?
Road signs are not the only source of hilarity though. Offices can often provide us with jokes to lighten our mood. I knew that I was going to have a hard time when I was in line at the cable company and read the sign "I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day and tomorrow doesn't look good either." Beside it was one that read, "Ring bell for service, if no answer - Do it yourself".

If you see smoke
The office I work in tries to add humor to the necessary signs we must post. Rather than a plain sign warning patrons not to smoke, we posted one that states "No Smoking: If we see smoke, we will assume you are on fire and take appropriate action! It gets the point across and brings a smile to even the most nicotine-starved clients.

Please don't shoot!
We also don't allow door-to-door sales people and let them know that by posting this funny sign "We shoot every 3rd sales man, and the second one just left". N'uff said.

"I don't have a problem!"
A therapist I used to work for had a sign that made me smile and promoted his business "Don't tell other people your problems cause 80% of them don't care, and the other 20% are glad to hear them" Ain't that the truth!

"Is there intelligent life in your office?"

A friend of mine has a cute sign on her cubicle saying, "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!" My cubicle has a funny yet somewhat true sign reminding others that "There are three kinds of people in this world: Those who make things happen, those who watch what happens and those who wonder what happened...which are you?" Next to it, I have one of my favorite funny office signs that simply asks, "I wonder if there is intelligent life in other cubicles"...I haven't found it yet but I am sure it is out there.

Bring on that smile
No matter what kind of day you are having a funny sign can bring a smile to your face and be remembered for years to come. It can be an icebreaker and bring a little levity to even the most mundane situation. No one likes waiting at the doctor's office, or having to pay bills after a long tedious wait in line but a cleverly posted funny sign can ease the boredom, give customers something to read and get a few well deserved and much needed laughs.

Make the long road short
The longest road trip in the world can become a lot more fun when searching for funny road signs to make you laugh and you may find customers even stop in your store because of a cleverly worded sign to get their attention.

Drawing for Children

Children love to draw especially those characters who are in vogue like the Disney Gang and all the goofy characters you will find in Disney World. Comic books are also a great source of delight for young children.
