Coloring Pages of Flowers![]() There are countless number of flowers to color in from Asters to Zinnias, from Poppies to Pansies. With these coloring pages of flowers you will discover the variety of form from the quite beautiful to the downright ugly. Okay, so not all flowers are beautiful with varying shades of "It's okay but I prefer the pink roses please!" If you have birthdays coming up soon or anniversaries, or something that require a little sympathy, why not color in one of these images which become personal and part of you to give to your loved one? Hey, that can be your spouse, kids, family or your boyfriend. If you are a girl reading this, don't you love to receive flowers? What about a nice piece of artwork you have colored in from one of these images instead of giving flowers? Why you ask? Flowers won't last long but your flower artwork will be treasured. Right? So how do you start to color in these pages of flowers? This depends on the medium you like to use. Here's a few suggestions; if you like simple soft effects use watercolors, they are not easy to use unless you'd like to practice a little. Crayons are alright but they can be a little messy and the same applies to pastels--both need a fixative to stop the chalky substance from smudging. My suggestion to start off would be those easy-to-use marker-pens. There's a variety of these you can choose from and they are relatively inexpensive. A few tips here; no matter what your medium is, always start with your lightest color and work towards your medium values to the darkest. The darkest values always go in last. This is not a hard and fast rule because as you become more experienced you will know exactly what works best depending on your medium (pastels, paints or crayons). You will read a lot of garbage about colors that signify things like red roses are the passion of love and desire, yellow flowers bring people up--make them happy and so on. Any lovely flower will do that even the black tulips they have developed in Holland. These are a beautiful velvety blue-black and most unusual. In these coloring pages of flowers, choose a simple one initially to get the feel. It does not matter if you make a mess of it, you can always print out another sheet. If you have a load of confidence, print an image out on a heavyweight paper not the usual copy paper. Copy paper will ruck and crinkle especially if you use watercolor and it also has a tendency to smudge with pastels. All you have to do here is to click on the image you'd like to start off with which will open a new window with a larger version of the image. Then you can just hit Control+P to get a print out.
