Disney Pixar's "UP"

Family movies are and have always been a wonderful way for families to spend time together. Not only that but family movies are not just for families or children, people of all ages seem to enjoy them.

In the past few days I had ended up watching Disney Pixar's UP. Though it was a very amusing movie, it had sad undertones with a heartfelt story. I think this could be the greatest strength of family movies. The wide availability for emotions to be displayed. They can easily be funny, sad, dramatic, action packed and much more.

Family movies are very diverse, giving a range in which everyone can find something they like. Aside from all that family movies are good and fairly clean. Although some have some mildly sexual jokes.

Many parents have little worry over what their kid may see in the confines of a movie theater. Some movies even put in little jokes the adults in the audience will enjoy while the kids won't quite understand. Making it a bit easier for adults to sit through the entire movie without feeling like it is a waste of time or money.

Overall, family movies are not just movies for families. They are movies a wide range of people may enjoy. It would really depend on the taste over the subject matter.
