The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
by Pete Anderson
The Lord of the Rings trilogy are the best three movies I have ever seen. The reason these movies are so great is their attention to detail in the books, the cinematography in the films, and the messages each film conveys to the audience.
The Lord of the Rings books are among the best in literature and it is no surprise that they were turned into three of the highest grossing movies of all time. Between the epic battles in the films, the struggle between good and evil, the desperation that Frodo and the other members of the fellowship have to get rid of the ring, and the relationships of each character, the Lord of the Rings trilogy is an adventurous and fulfilling movie.
My favorite line in the movies appear in the second installment of the trilogy, the Two Towers. Samwise Gamgee, Frodo's faithful friend and counterpart says, "There's some good in this world, Frodo, and its worth fighting for." The battles in each installment are absolutely breathtaking.
Each area, such as Minas Tirith, Lothlorian, and Edoras, are beautifully created. J.R.R. Tolkien would have been proud. The actors also portray their roles in a wonderful matter- almost spot on to Tolkien's world. Overall, the Lord of the Rings trilogy are three of the best movies ever made.
