Learn How To Draw Anything
Learning how to draw can be simple when you know some of these basics. Drawing is a process in learning how to see things. You can draw from things around you or you can draw from your imagination. Leonardo Da Vinci drew to see how things could work, to figure it all out—and artists, writers and anyone in the creative arts or sciences find that drawing helps to crystallize their ideas.
If you are struggling with a small part of something you are studying, try drawing your ideas in black and white and you will find this will help enormously in your understanding of what you are studying. The concept or idea then becomes part of you and you “own it” almost like you own name. It is basically getting into communication with the physical side so there is a connection between your mind and the thing you are studying. Once you have “conceptualized” the idea or thought you will seldom forget it—just like your own name! And so learning these drawing skills can be used in so many ways from seeing things as they are to teaching just about anything. Young children draw with complete freedom without preconceived ideas. As they grow older and indoctrinated by their peers or teachers that “faces are not drawn like that, they are like this.” As teachers “know best” the child then becomes influenced by what is “the right way” and begins to lose all creative ability. Fortunately not all teachers are like this and they do enhance the child’s creative process and the ability to “see” things as they are—as well as nurturing their creative spirit.
